Howard Berg entered the Guinness Book in 1990, when he red more than 25,000 words a minute (over 416 words per second) and writing more than 100 words a minute. With this performance, he won the World’s Fastest Reader title. 

Since then, Howard Berg dedicated his life to helping people read faster. He devised the Howard Bergs Maximum Speed Reading program, which guarantees users to double their reading speed. And if this is not enough, Berg says that with more practice, everyone can learn how to read really fast. The good news is that anyone can improve his reading skills from home.

He became the leader in brain-based learning in the early 1990s, when his Nightingale-Conant program, "Mega Speed Reading," became a huge success. Since then, he wrote a number of books and continues his brain based learning programs. His most popular titles are "Super Reading Secrets," "Speed Reading the Easy Way", "Mega Speed Reading", "Super Memory Secrets", "Super Math Secrets", "Super Writing Secrets" and "Mega Learning System". Howard Berg also runs a number of other collaborative programs.

Before he became a guru in speed reading, he was a high school teacher in New York City. For some time, Berg also held a corporate officer position at Ampak Electrical Construction Corporation where he managed a $6,000,000 a year operation. Howard Berg graduated in S.U.N.Y. Binghamton. His major is Biology and he also completed a four-year Psychology program. Ha studied the psychology of reading at a number of New York City colleges. 

Howard Berg was included in several books that that track outstanding professional performance including, "Who's Who Among Emerging Leaders, and 2,000 Notable American Men". He is a very popular speaker at schools, corporations, and government facilities. During these sessions, he motivates and teaches people how to reach their true potentials.
